IMOD’S PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP WITH PHILADELPHIA250
IMOD is in communication with the PHILADELPHIA250 team to create a series of events that combines the dance culture and history is Philadelphia (and the surrounding communities) with the historic celebration of the Nation.
The IMOD proposal includes:
September to December 2025 - The Fall 2025 programming includes gym takeovers and community education programs featuring the History of Hip Hop and the impact of dance within the community.
February 2026 - Black History Month programming including History of Hip Hop and community dance demonstrations.
April 2026 - National Dance Week programming includes workshops, gym takeovers, master classes and performances within the Greater Philadelphia region.
June 2026 - The City-wide Dance Contest features the intersection of dance and technology, inspiring students and educators to create dances that inspire and move the audience.
